This weeks challenge to stretch after running went much better than last week. I managed to fit it in after every run this week, and even managed to follow my yoga video all the way through to the end (I'm always tempted to skip the relaxation part, even though I know it's probably the most beneficial to me).
It wasn't always easy to convince myself to do it, it always felt like there was something else I wanted to be doing instead and I often thought about stopping midway through, but, without fail, I felt balance and relaxed at the end.
I even found over just 5 days I started gaining some flexibility. I mean, I'm not ready for a "yoga on the beach" profile picture, but my toes are slightly easier to reach without having to completely bend my knees. Hopefully as I continue this increased flexibility will help me avoid injuries and nagging muscle issues, allowing me to keep running the way I want to.
